Occupy This Space

The Occupy Movement is shining a massive spotlight on the devastating consequences of supporting the current economic system that's dominated by unaccountable mega-corporations. Building strong, local living economies is the answer, and local independent businesses are a major part of the solution.

We've created some flyers/posters that can be displayed inside of local, independent businesses. If you represent a local business, we hope you print and display it proudly, and share it with your fellow business owners. If you're a citizen, we invite you to share them widely - online, in print, in person. If you have suggestions, drop us a note!

Guidelines for posting:

• Make sure it’s local and independent. This poster is meant to be posted in locally owned, independently operated places of business. If you’re not sure, ask!
• Get buy in. Speak with a manager or owner of the business to get permission to post the poster. Print original file in color. Clean and neat posters will help ensure that businesses keep the posters up as long as possible.
• Bring more people. Encourage friends, family and colleagues to help distribute this poster at local independent businesses.
• Share with other communities. Re-post the original file on Facebook, Occupy websites, and share with community organizations.
• Invite the conversation. The Occupy Movement is a shared commons. Listen to and share stories.
